"When we decided to take the big step of building our dream house, we thought it would be one of the most exciting stages of our lives. "We employed JD Glover and his team to carry out recent alterations to our 24 year old home. Principally, the alterations were to add a covered, upstairs deck, create a new dining area downstairs, and also to replace the existing roof. This work involved the removal of the original insulclad cladding from the back of the house. After discussions with our architect, and JD Glover, we decided not to reinstate the exterior with insulclad, rather to replace the cladding on the entire house and upgrade to pre-stained cedar weatherboards, thus giving the house a clean, new, modern look.
Our architect recommended that we should take full advantage of the beautiful quality cedar we were installing by using epoxy joints to achieve a clean finished look rather than use soakers. This technique required a high level of craftsmanship, which was skillfully provided by JD’s crew. The result is outstanding and has drawn many favourable comments. Our house has been transformed into a very desirable home.
The relationship and communication with JD Glover throughout the entire upgrade was excellent. He worked extremely well with us, and the architect. We absolutely love our house and would recommend JD and his company to anyone looking for a top quality finish."
